The URIBITARTE40 Hall will host a performance by artist Pablo Marte on Thursday, 15 January at 7:00 pm. The performance is inspired by Juan Mayorga’s text La colección (2024).
This will be followed by the presentation of the book“There Is No Coming Back from the Collection. BA Collection”, with the participation of the exhibition curators Nerea Ayerbe and Jaime Cuenca.

Pablo Marte is an artist, writer, and researcher. His work revolves around how the processes of image signification and discourse production are articulated—and rearticulated—through a symptomatic, expansive, and heterogeneous practice of montage. He has exhibited his work at C3A (Córdoba), CA2M (Madrid), Bilbao Fine Arts Museum, Hangar (Lisbon), Kadist Art Foundation (Paris), Artium (Vitoria), Santa Mónica Art Center (Barcelona), etc. He has had close ties with the BilbaoArte Foundation, having been a resident and artist in the collection.

There Is No Coming Back from the Collection. BA Collection is the second exhibition on the BilbaoArte Collection produced within the framework of the 2nd Call for Curators, with the aim of giving visibility to the artists featured in the collection and offering new readings and interpretations of the imagery that the works and artists offer as a whole. The initiative also seeks to create a line of support for professionals in the arts and culture sector for the development of curatorial projects.
