Jorge Rubio (Bilbao, 1972) graduated in Fine Arts, majoring in painting, from the UPV/EHU, where he also obtained his PhD. He has been awarded many grants and prizes for his work on several occasions. Jorge has put on large interventions in different European cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Vitoria and St. Petersbourg). His most recent solo shows include Egurre at the Bizkaia Law Society (Bilbao, 2019); Horizonte de sucesos [Event Horizon], Bi-hormetara (Getxo, 2018); Inhabitantes [Inhabitants], Lumbreras Gallery, (Bilbao, 2013); Etxean, Torre de Ariz, (Basauri, 2006).
